Nikola makes a massive and diverse debut on Enemy Records! While he has made a name for himself in the house community through labels such as Rekids and Ibadan, he recently brought his crossover-sound into the techno spectrum via Octopus Recordings. With “Love Spot,” Nikola reaches out to a slightly different audience with great results!

All four tracks on this EP show Nikola’s excellent skills as a producer who can make something for any time of the night! “Hot” is a beast in itself. While slightly different than typical output from Enemy, this full-on shameless rave hammer is an ultimate peak time play. “Abnormal” lowers the intensity ever so slightly but still maintains the peak time appeal.

On the flipside, Nikola shows off his deeper side. “Love Spot” is crafty big room techno that manages to strip everything down to the bare essentials without losing any tension. “Fluxx” may be the B2 cut, but like most Enemy releases, we always keep the super special stuff hidden back here! It’s the perfect crossover vibe between house and techno. It’s dark in appeal but opts for groove over intensity. Both cuts are great for winding up the night, or breaking it down as morning comes!
